How I Use It

This is a great go-to app for teachers who teach multiple sections and need a way to keep track of student information. As a technology teacher with over 20 sections and 500 students, I appreciate the ability to create multiple classes, change seating layouts, take/upload images of students (so helpful for putting a name to a face and visa versa!), take attendance and add any notes about a student (IEP accommodations, parent contact info, etc.) I especially like the ability to upload rosters from an Excel file--this makes adding multiple students quick and easy. Being able to export data via email and print charts is also a great feature.

My Take

Though this app does directly impact students, it certainly helps with teacher organization and productivity. I am better able to engage and communicate with my students when I have information about them, their learning and their place in the classroom at my fingertips. I like the ability "random student chooser" feature---I can do quick checks to see if students are engaged and participating. One improvement I might make would the option to see the student image directly on the seating chart, without having to click on their name.
