How I Use It
This is a versatile app that students use for a variety of purposes. It has sophisticated functionality, so even the most artistically creative student will enjoy it. I recommend it for students to use as a brainstorming "whiteboard". Completed work can be saved to the device photo gallery. Younger students (even in Kinder and First) can use it to annotate and draw while reading. Students can even pull up or take a picture to annotate on. My only concern is the deviantART gallery that is available for students to peruse - some of the images are not really appropriate for young eyes.
I believe in allowing students time to brainstorm and let their minds wander - that's how their creative juices start working. This app allows students to place to sketch out ideas, take notes (text is available), and save their ideas for future use. They can even duplicate a sketch to extend thinking in different ways. With the ability to add layers, and a full array of colors and brushes, artists can create beautiful work to show what they know. It's a well-developed classroom tool.
