How I Use It
I've used Seesaw with various teachers in grades K-2. We've used this app for small group instruction in center rotations, with students completing various tasks such as recording themselves reading, drawing images for reading responses and practicing spelling. Students loved the ease of use for this app on the iPad and teachers love having all their students' creations in one place. Parents are thrilled to see their children's work, too. Seesaw also has a blog component which I hope to explore more next year.
My Take
I highly recommend this app for any elementary classroom, even through grade 5. Teachers can have multiple classes which is appealing for teachers that work with a variety of students. The app has a great visual appeal and is easy enough for a kindergartener to understand. I love the functionality of the various tasks - how students can draw, type and record audio all in one place. This is a must-have for any elementary teacher!
