How I Use It
I used Rosetta Stone with a small group of ENL students, brand new to the country and the language, in a special morning program. It was completely student-centered and self-paced.
My students made enormous progress using this program. As I mentioned above, they came into the school with virtually NO English proficiency but after a few weeks of using Rosetta Stone they became much more comfortable speaking, reading, and writing the language. I love that Rosetta teaches language holistically; student see pictures with printed words, hear the words spoken, and practice writing and speaking them themselves. It is immersive and feels very natural. I also love that teachers can track their student's progress, and see detailed reports. The biggest con is that to get the full version with all its features, you have to shell out a LOT of money. You get what you pay for, I guess.
