How I Use It
I have used this product when reviewing material with the class. One way that I have used it is to review practice state tests that students have taken. Students have previously answered questions from an old state test and Plickers was my way of going over it in class. It does take a bit longer than just calling out the answers in class, but I like to see what the students believe the answers are. In addition, you can address misconceptions right then and there as you can view the wrong answers students chose. It does a bit of time to set up a the test in the program, but you can also just use it on the fly as long as you know the answers.
Overall I really like this product. It allows me to have the results of individual student response systems without the cost or maintenance. It would be great if the teacher interface for putting in assessment answers was a bit easier, but I understand that this is a free product. At one point, they were offering the sale of the cards in a sturdy cardstock and laminated set. Those seem to be out of stock all of the time. I would like it if they would offer those again as when you print them out yourself, the regular paper leaves them a bit flimsy.
