How I Use It
I have used this app in a few different ways. I have used NYPL: World's Fair in English class for creative writing prompts; brochures, back stories, compare and contrast writing (the world of tomorrow idea). In Psychology class I have used it to study propaganda and stereo types. The lessons centered on the app are relaxed in expectations because the students get "lost" in the information. So, I plan time to let them explore.
My Take
I like apps like this that allow users to just explore. At the beginning the layout can be confusing because there are no hard steps for users to follow. The opening screen has piles of photos that are labeled for the exhibit, but after that it can get confusing to navigate. But, I think that is part of the fun. For some students I use the website instead of the app.
