How I Use It
This is probably the smoothest and best app for writing on an iPad. I use this in class when doing notes and anything written with the entire class. The app picks up the writing quickly and there is no noticeable lag on the screen. Unlike apps like Mighty Notes and to a small extent, Educreations. This would also be great if you want students to show written work to the entire class and want them to do it on an iPad. There are backgrounds that you can change to (plain white, graph paper, lined, etc) and you can add sticky notes. Be careful with erasing, as the eraser will erase more entire objects at one time, versus just what you touch. This app is also great, because it has a scroll bar on the side and the page will go down endlessly. You never run out of room. Educreations is hard to move down, because you have to do a two-finger scroll and it doesn't always work.
My Take
As a teaching tool, this is the smoothest app for allowing a teacher or student to write on an iPad for individual work, or to show whole class. It is frustrating to deal with lag at having the writing show up on the screen or being limited in the amount you can scroll down. While after a while students get used to using the app and seeing you use it, they don't ever seem to lose the desire to want to write on a tablet and have it shown to the class. It isn't the best for importing pictures or documents and then writing over them. Mighty Notes does a better job of that. I highly recommend this to facilitate handwriting on an iPad.
