How I Use It
I use Nearpod as a whole group review with my students after each content unit. I uploaded already made (boring) PowerPoints with the content I wanted to review. Then I added questions, polls, and diagrams students would fill out in order to determine their understanding of the material. I get to see their answers and drawings in real time. The best part is I control the pace we go over the material from my device, students can not work ahead or exit out of the App without me knowing. You will have to monitor students work on the draw it activity if you have students like I do!
This is a great way to do whole group or teacher led small group activities especially if you want a good way to see students' understanding of the material. My students would ask when we were going to use Nearpod again. Their favorite part was being able to be shown students' work without knowing who's working is (they will tell everyone anyways)!
