How I Use It

I let kids play with it individually to practice or reinforce math operations. I generally give my students choices of 2-3 apps that support the same skills, so they can choose what they find engaging for their practice.

My Take

This is a great app for students who will enjoy it to practice skills like addition and subtraction. It's pretty simple and repetitive, which has its advantages (simplicity is a good thing, much of the time!) but also is limiting. Kids who like things like fish animation or designing their own fish are very engaged by it, but other students find it boring after a while.
