How I Use It
I used this product in a small tutoring group. Students who were having difficulty with addition and subtraction would review the concepts, practice the concept, and then play the game. The games were a little more challenging for them, however, it let me know who knew the math facts because of rote memorization, who needed to use their fingers, and who was still struggling. A few of the games were challenging, even for me at first. Students love earning points (by practicing and correctly answering the questions) and getting to create a monster in the lab. I usually give them 5 minutes at the end as a reward for doing a great job.
I wouldn't give this to a child to learn on their own. I would say the concept should be taught previously and then this can be the review and practice. This app allows you to set up different accounts. I only had 2 different students, so I do not know if there is a maximum allowed. It also gives a nice review for parents. If parents ask for a math review, I would suggest this game. However, there are other math apps that students had more fun with.
