How I Use It
I started using it as part of an elective arts program, and ended up with 19 boys! Students felt left out and asked for an after school club. We have tried the full versions kids have personal subscriptions to, as well as an Edu version that gives a teacher some flexibility to create and teach on the fly. The app version seems to be the best starting place for newbies.
Students with a range of interests and school abilities love this game. The freedom to build and explore piques the interests of boys with a vengence. You have to caution students against losing track of time and addictiveness of the game. Not all features are available in the app, but it is great for practice, especially if you keep getting killed by the assortment of bad guys.
