Great DIY website that is easy for upper elementary and middle school students to follow.

How I Use It
I would use this product as a teaching tool to help mu students further their knowledge. I did not find this site useful to teach a particular concept such as energy or simple machines. I used this product to help several of my students choose a topic for a science fair. One of my students was researching alternative energy sources and there was a great step by step tutorial that showed my student how to disassemble a remote control car and convert it to a solar power car. By using this particular website, my student felt more confidence in research for her science project. This is a great STEM website because it is a little off the beaten path and really pushes the students to reach outer limits especially in the fields of robotics and arduino.
My Take
I really like instructables, however I feel that only a gifted middle schooler or high schooler would be able to use it on their own. Most of the projects have pictures, but sometimes the directions are hard to follow. I still had to provide my upper elementary students guidance. I found this site a really nice asset to science fairs. There were topics that students could further explore and see what other individuals are making and creating.
