How I Use It
I used iMovie in the classroom to wrap up a lesson about government. After the students used many different resources for a particular lesson, the students were able to use the iPads in order to wrap up the assignment. The students used iMovie to explain how a bill becomes a law, they shared what they thought about the engagement of the lesson, and they how they came to the outcome of their proposed bill. The students were excited about using it. The teacher must stay on top of the students because many students would want to deviate from the app and play on the iPads. Most students worked diligenty and were excited to use technology to wrap up their lesson.
I believe iMovie is a great resource to enhance most lesson. I like that iMovie can be used, like I did, to enhance a lesson or project and can used to as a project. The app is a great app that students can use to make movies to help explain information to their peers. Most students are prideful about their work and are excited to share it with others. It takes away an element of the shyness where the video can replace a live presentation and give students a better since of creativity behind a camera. However, iMovie can be difficult to understand by first time users and may need a crash course in order to understand the information. iMovie is a great tool that could enhance most lessons.
