How I Use It
I worked with an autistic student who records videos on his iPad often. I used the iMovie app to create a movie trailer of his movies that he recorded. He also LOVES movie trailers and watches them over and over. We used the movie trailer to reinforce good behavior and incorporated videos of him following the rules. He also recorded other videos to be used in another movie trailer.
My Take
I see applications for iMovie with all students. Students could create movie trailers to introduce a creative product they have produced. They can work in groups and plan the video timeline, story board, at elements that need to be included. Students also learn about video production and capturing the shot.
