How I Use It
My third grade students made a group presentation called "Hope for Haiti" as part of a service learning project. Each student got to select a picture and to say how that picture showed hope. The end result was a powerful slide show that we were able to share at our assembly. I have also used this as a teacher to create posters or slides for teaching. For example, I created posters of pictures of Ireland with similes and metaphors on them. In an elementary classroom I have used it in a more teacher-directed setting, so I have not had any problem with the filter on the search.
Haiku Deck is an easy way to make polished looking presentations. I love the look of the visuals. I love the fact that it is web based and you can easily find the source of the images. I like that they keep updating the features.
