How I Use It
I teach the basic precepts outlined in Garr Reynolds book, Presentation Zen. I then introduce some simple visual techniques, such as using full-bleed images. Finally, I introduce Haiku Deck, and students find it much easier than trying to incorporate the same techniques within PowerPoint.
My Take
Haiku Deck makes it easy to follow the best practices recommended by experts, like Garr Reynolds, writer of Presentation Zen. It allows students to quickly design simple, well-designed presentations with beautiful graphics, nice typography, and a professional polished look. If you're sick of "sliduments" and hideous distracting PowerPoint themes with crazy "Wordart" and bad font choices, have your students present with this tool.
