How I Use It
I first showed the students how to find their neighborhood and even some landmarks around their homes. We then zoomed out to shows the city and then the state and so on. It was difficult for the students at first to zoom in and out, but once they practiced and used it a bit, they were pros.
As a teaching tool, I liked that it was a real-life, true time way to show students how a community compares to the world around them. Students can find their own house and them zoom out further and further to see the world around them.
