How I Use It
Google classroom has increased the level of collaboration and communication between me and my students as well as student to student. I can post assignments in multiple forms and send them out to the whole class, small groups or individual students. I love the "turn in" button feature. There is no question as to whether or not a student has turned in or completed an assignment. Google Classroom also allows me to flip the classroom by posting videos and other content that students can view prior to the lesson or go back to after the lesson. The prep time using Google Classroom really depends on the teacher. You can spend a lot of time building your classroom, or just use it on a smaller scale.
My Take
I fully stand behind Google Classroom. It has allowed me to do my job better. My favorite feature is the ability to post videos and other content and assign them ahead of time which has allowed for much deeper discussion during the face to face class time. Also, the communication between students as been amazing through Google Classroom.
