How I Use It

Students were placed on the app to test their geography knowledge. The app presents several different formats of questions from multiple choice to finding a location on a map. It is well designed and provides an easy to use interface for students. Students, however, become bored with the app very quickly. It does not provide them any further application of knowledge and only quizzes them on information that they would be expected to know to compete in the National Geographic Geography Bee.

My Take

This app is a tremendous resource for students who are wanting to prepare to compete in the Geography Bee, but provides little value to a classroom teacher as a means of assessing students and their specific geographic knowledge. Teachers should use this app only as a means of review for the Bee and not as a part of their classroom instruction.

Great way to prepare for the Geography Bee, but not much else.
