How I Use It
I created videos to explain the basic steps involved in setting up a web page. I wanted students to view the information in bite-sized videos, which could be replayed from home or school. I uploaded my videos to YouTube and SchoolTube for easy access. Explain Everything helps make lesson content available 24 hours a day.
This a great application...with a bit of a learning curve if you want to take full advantage of its features. You can quickly create explanatory videos, allowing students to revisit lectures as often as needed. Videos are easily exported to your camera roll, YouTube, Dropbox, Evernote, or Google Drive. Images can be exported to your camera roll, emailed, saved as a PDF to iBooks, or uploaded to DropBox, Evernote or Google Drive. Low literacy, ELL, and special needs students can benefit from repeated viewing of videos, working through content at their own pace. It's a great way to get kids familiar with online lesson delivery. Students use video controls (pause, replay, maximize/minimize, volume adjust), features they might encounter in online exams, like SBAC or PARCC.
Features will require 15-20 minutes of explanation and demonstration before students can fully use the app.
