How I Use It
I have been using Eureka.in my school for quite some time now as an additional resource for reinforcing learning and can say that it has provided the much needed bridge to seal the gap between the textbook content and students’ understanding of the same. You can use it as an introduction to the topic to set the ground for an interesting start, during the course of the topic to explain or highlight an important point or even as a tool to test the learner’s grasp post classroom discussion. The best part of this unique app is that it is utterly user friendly be it the teacher or the learner. You are directed with perfect ease to navigate through the content and zero in on the area you want to focus on. Students can use it independently to brush up or enrich their learning. Besides animations and fun filled simulations, various other learning objects like quizzes, one liners, glossary, images etc go a long way to reinforce learning resulting in its long time retention. With discretion and proper planning the app can be of immense help to learners simply because of the clarity it offers in dealing with various topics suited to all categories of learners bright, average and slow.
I am all for using Eureka.in at all three levels, primary, middle and secondary. Not only will it offer teachers the desired reprieve from their tight teaching schedule by offering them some free time to devote to planning, it will also break the tedium and monotony of classroom teaching for students. It can be used as a powerful tool for gaining knowledge, eliminating doubts and gaps pertaining to topics and as an effective evaluation resource for reinforcing what is learnt in the classroom.
