How I Use It
When we heard we were going to be doing some in-person, some hybrid, and some virtual learning this fall, it was slightly overwhelming. I teach both sections of reading that span all ability levels. I am a believer of spiraling the 37 comprehension strategies, and eSpark has helped me to do just that. My students are able to work independently after our whole group or guided lesson on the strategy that they are focusing on. eSpark is highly motivating and holds their interest, in large part because they offer authentic text.
My Take
I am grateful for eSpark this year. It has complemented my reading curriculum well. The only issue I've had stems mostly from our school's firewall that prevents some of the passages to be accessed. I also appreciate the support I've received from the eSpark staff with every question or problem I've had. eSpark has truly been my reading "partner" this year.
