How I Use It
For my ELL’s I used it to help with them using their own language, making a short video on vocabulary with pictures as a reminder of what we did in class so they’ll remember for homework that night. When the students who couldn’t speak let’s say English, well they’d also have a hard time writing in English- so I’d use an eSpark video and kids would return an eSpark video of themselves and microphone to speak into computer and recording instead of being embarrassed in class speaking aloud or they show visually what they learned that week instead of being held back by the language/written word barrier. This also helps with Speech and RSP kids and small group learning.
My Take
I liked the ease of getting online. Everything links to their student google account so it can be accessed from home with or without school equipment. They made their slides from a cell phone and attached pictures from the web with the touch of a finger in a One Minute explaining of the Fall of Rome. My artists in the room didn’t have to do the Boeing two page report they storyboarded it with background music and posted it for fellow classmates to give feedback!
