How I Use It
This product was used in my classroom with kids with significant needs. Some of my students required para support because of lack of fine motor skills and ability to follow directions. For those learners the videos, books, and songs engaged them most but they had difficulty applying and practicing the skills on their own.
My Take
The fact that everything is read aloud and there are visuals so students know what app to go to makes it accessible to the majority of learners. There are light bulbs that turn on once students complete an app or video so they know which tasks to do next. It would be even more accessible to learners if teachers were able to choose the types of apps based on students ability levels (I know this doesn't apply to most settings but it would help create independence for even our lowest learners). Teachers already have the option to make the quizzes required or not in order to advance in lessons. The quizzes are often a problem for my students but I would like to be able to set the number of times that I want them to complete a task because repetition is key to their learning. It would also be great f they could favorite a video so they can go back and access it even after completing the unit it was in. Overall I am very pleased with this product and will continue to use it to differentiate my instruction and engage all learners.
