How I Use It
I use Educreations for both math and science. Students create screencasts explain concepts we are learning to others. For example, in math the write and solve equations representing real-world scenarios. Using Educreations, the students are able to take a picture (or insert an image from the internet) and then write their equations that represent the scenario with the picture in the background. They can record their voice discussing how they created and solved the equation.
Overall Educreations is one of the best screen casting tools around, mainly because it contains all of the essential elements of a good screen casting tool and it is easy to use.. Some of the limitations include export options (web-based storage instead of exporting to the camera roll) and students seem to struggle when trying to fix mistakes (this process is not very instinctual with the app).
