How I Use It
Students can demonstrate or explain what they have learned or the procedures followed during a science lab. I love the fact that it has both iPad and desktop access. When we have the iPads we can use it and still use it when we don't at the machines in the back of the classroom. Most recently students did a "how to" project on solving equations. It was great to be able to encourage them to show what they knew on a specific equation and then get them to generalize the strategies. Using a rubric, we were able to really tell which students had a full grasp on the subject and which needed additional help. We then used the presentations that students had done to explain the concepts to our slower learners.
It's not always easy to find FREE apps for student creation. Educreations is just that. It's easy to learn and the fact the the accounts can be associated with the class allows us to follow school division guidelines.
