How I Use It
Accessing photos and Word documents from home and work alike, without the hassle of zip drives or external hard drives. For instance, I enjoy taking photographs with my Nikon SLR camera. Now, I also enjoy sharing photos with friends and family on Instagram. By utilizing Dropbox I quickly and easily transfer photos from my SLR camera to my Instagram account. Also excellent for student homework/assignments - there's no excuses or fears of leaving your assignments on zip-drives with this. Simply upload the completed assignment to your dropbox, then access it from any school computer.
My Take
An easy (and free) cloud tool for sharing files among different devices. The only drawback I can think of here is the storage. Beyond 2 GB of space and you'll have to start paying, which for the majority of users is not an issue, I'd imagine. So unless you require extensive storage space Dropbox is an excellent option.
