How I Use It

I have used this as enrichment for 5th and 6th grade students, and as intervention for 8th grade algebra students. You could use it in primary school, middle school and high school. I have encouraged students to go through the levels multiple times. So far I have used this individually with students, however I would like my entire algebra class to use it this next year.

My Take

I read a great review of this game in Wired, and I absolutely LOVE it. It's one of the only games I have encountered that isn't simply drilling math problems. This game actually teaches and builds algebraic thinking. It is fun, engaging, and you really don't necessarily know you are doing math. It makes math fun again for students who are stuck and frustrated with math.
