How I Use It
I have used this on my own for personal use and enjoyed how many communities utilize Discord to speak about their topic. I have also used this in school for clubs at University and as a group chat for the class as a whole. I was able to connect with people for help studying and reviewing for exams.
My Take
I like this tool a lot for the chatroom-like environment and ability to monitor a server and each channel users are in. Additionally, the organization of how different channels can represent different subjects allows for chats to stay on topic. As an admin, you have very tight control of what occurs so it would work well with students if some are getting off task or posting non-topic related things. There is sort of a learning curve to this service which might cause some resistance to first-time users but it is quickly learned after a few uses.
