How I Use It
I used Croak.it in combination with QR Beamer to have students record Book Talks that we transferred to QR codes for placement inside a book cover. This allowed students to scan QR codes and hear a student summary of that book. Croak.it would work well for fluency and comprehension checks as well. It is nice that we can directly email the audio clip to parents, students or teachers.
My Take
I think Crok.it has a lot of potential in the classroom. There is so much value in creating short audio clips, especially in the primary grades. Students can use it for retelling stories, predicting outcomes, reading short clips for fluency checks and so much more. The best part is that you can use the link to share and publish the product. The link can also be tranferred into a QR code to post around the room, in books etc.
