How I Use It
This is a great tool for creating professional-looking posters. There are many templates to choose from and a lot of choices for formatting the text. In fact, there are almost too many choices. It can be overwhelming for some students, so I like to find a template that will work for a particular assignment and have students use that template, especially if they have a hard time making decisions.
My Take
For students who struggle with thinking outside the box, this is great! The choices in formatting make it so easy to try something new easily. As mentioned, it can be overwhelming, so having specific requirements in mind for students who need that direction is a good idea. I love that Canva reinforces some basic desktop publishing techniques and allows students the ability to try new design layouts easily.
