How I Use It
I use Canva for a wide variety of projects that I do as a high school technology coach. I have created posters, cards, certificates, badges and more. I love the various pre-made templates and the ability to customize the designs to meet your needs. You can change fonts, colors, upload pictures and clipart all with drag and drop capabilities. It is very user friendly and the designs you create look so professional. I worked with one of our high school social media classes as they designed advertisements for local businesses, and the students were creating designs in 5-10 minutes. Very user friendly. With the various social media templates for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. it was very easy to design professional looking items.
I really like this tool. I like that it can be used via a website or as an app on an iOS device. I love the templates, fonts, color schemes that are suggested as well as many of the other features. I have used many apps before and this one really meets my needs. It has so many features. In addition, I love that you are able to download the finished product as a PDF, JPEG or other file formats without any watermarks or logos. This is so helpful and allows creating things for various projects a breeze. I also like that the templates are sized for your purpose. For example the instagram template is sized for an instagram post. I don't know of any other tool that has this many features, is this easy to use and is free.
