How I Use It
I learned about Canva from a fellow teacher, and I've been using it ever since! I've taught students how to use Canva in class to share their learning about specific topics in creative/visual ways. I gave a brief tutorial of the tool to the whole class, but students seemed to learn the most by exploring the site themselves. I personally use Canva for promotional flyers in my school library because I think the design elements they offer produce great products.
My Take
I like Canva as a teaching tool. It's a great way for students to learn about layout and design, while working in knowledge they want to share about various topics they're studying in class. I wish that many of the elements didn't come with a fee, but I think that enough of their templates/illustration/shapes/lines etc. are accessible without cost to create a nice looking product in the end.
