How I Use It
I have used the iPad version for many years. Two years ago, one of our 7th-grade social studies teacher and I created a book to share with 5th graders using the iPads. Now that there is a chrome version, however, I see Bookcreator as a game changer. As of this year, our middle school is now 1:1 Chromebooks. With the chrome version of Bookcreator, we can now have students create books directly on their device. It's very easy for a teacher to set up a library and share the code with students. The built-in audio feature makes recording student voice a breeze. The new embed option allows more creativity for students as they can add many items to their books. This could work as an awesome digital portfolio option for students.
This is a fabulous tool for students to add their voice to a project. There are tons of ways to be creative and a gazillion possible topics for a book. It's easy to publish the book online and share it privately with parents or other stakeholders. I am certain that this would be an improved option for student digital portfolios.
