How I Use It
I have classes which use Book Creator to document their learning. For example, in Science, they will write their predictions for an experiment and then actually document the outcome. This can take the form of a series of photographs or a movie or a time-lapse that shows the process in its entirety. They then reflect on the scientific processes on display and can add this reflection using audio, text or by annotating over the photographs added into the Book Creator file. A further option is then for the students to create a comic which documents the whole experiment or unit of learning.
My Take
Book Creator is an example of technology that has a myriad of possibilities in the classroom to support, consolidate and extend learning. I think it is one of the 'must haves' in terms of apps. Its versatility is what I love. It would be fantastic if you provided students with the ability to add user created widgets.
