How I Use It
I have used this app in the classroom while preparing for a geography bee. It is a great app, but seems to be for pleasure rather than any type of studying or preparation. It gives a perspective into cultures and locations associated with those cultures. I would not recommend this app for the intermediate elementary classroom for the simple fact that there are other apps and websites such as google earth that are more functional for studying geography, plus this paid app is pretty pricey at $4.99. Although it is user friendly app for the primary student who is gaining a basic understanding of the world.
My Take
This app is beautiful with full color and interactivity. While traveling around the world like most geography apps students are able to quickly resize the world, flip, and turn it with a simple two finger gesture. Around the world are different people and objects standing on top of the earth. These include fact sets that pop up when hovering over the item. Some also include videos.
