How I Use It
The app is very subject specific to dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period. If the curriculum includes this topic, then this app is a good fit. The information is comprehensive and the activities are engaging. The audio support is key to navigation and advancement. However, if a curriculum does not include dinosaurs as a specific topic, it will be necessary for an educator to be creative to find a place for this app in the classroom. Independent research projects are where this app is really valuable. For the learner that is intent on increasing knowledge about dinosaurs, they can use the app to gain information and organize their knowledge within the time period.
My Take
The biggest issue with this app for classroom use is the very narrow content. Many schools have moved away from a teaching topic, such as dinosaurs in favor of hands on science activities. I would consider this app an interactive resource for learning about dinosaurs, but am unsure that the app could be considered "required" in most classrooms.
