How I Use It
We are planning to use this product like an eBook and for some interactive activities. Basically the comment features allow learners to circle, highlight, type notes for, and bookmark important information and ideas from the document. It's quick and more efficient because they can easily do a keyword search of the information to help them find answers to their own questions as well as the Trainer's questions. I also used it in a game that had learners coming up to the computer to circle certain areas of a screen shot of the system they would be using to answer a question. Unfortunately it does not always work according to plan due to Trainers and Designers having different versions of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro. So, it's important to make sure that everyone is working from the same version of the software.
My Take
I really like this tool, but it doesn't completely replace the paper versions. Some learners do prefer to actually hand-write their notes because it helps them remember the information more than when they type it or highlight it. I do really like that when going to this "eBook" method, we are saving money and making it easier to ensure the learners have the most up to date version available.
