How I Use It
50 States presents basic factual information about the states that make up the United States. It gives statistics and historical information on each state. Users are able to view each state to find out its capital, population, etc. but the app does not go in depth to provide information on trends of the data presented. The facts that are presented provide a tool for students to obtain them, but gives no further depth of knowledge for them. The videos do not work correctly in the app and hopefully this can be fixed in an update, but they are accessible on YouTube.
My Take
50 States is a great app for learning some basic information. It does not take things to a deeper level for the user. It is a great tool for elementary and middle grades to expose students to the information but the teacher would need to work to create more meaningful experiences using this app.
