How I Use It
I use Smart Seat to set up seating charts in my classroom. I also use it to create random groups. Smart seat is also a very useful way to take attendance from my iPad as I walk around the room to monitor students as they are working on their starters. You can also call on students randomly by using Smart Seat. I use Smart Seat everyday in my class. I also make notes about each student in this app like who is an ELL or who has a medical plan or IEP or 504, this allows me to have quick access to that information in my hands so I don't have to go search for it on skyward for it.
My Take
This is a great app for classroom organization and management. It doesn't directly benefit the students learning but if students are sitting away from friends and other distractions they will learn more. When you are first setting up your classes it is a bit tedious but when the set up is complete it is a great app.
