How I Use It
I use it in my teaching when my students complete a project or assessment that I would like to save or share with others. I show parents videos of their child reading a story and creating art projects. It is a quick and easy way to share with parents and collect samples of the students progress. Parents use it by looking at their children's work, reading samples, and homework to stay connected and supportive of their child in school. My co-teacher and I share classes so that we can check progress on individual students that we may not have in our classroom for a certain subject. It helps us keep track of all of our homeroom class students when we don't teach them a certain subject. The students use it to "show off" their work to their parents, teacher or other students. They enjoy seeing that their parents "like" their work and they like using technology to record their learning. I use it at meetings with parents or other teachers to show current work examples. I didn't find any part of the app that didn't perform as it is supposed to. I use the tool with 1st graders, parents, and other teachers. Specific takeaways for my students are confidence, motivation to keep finding more solutions to problems that they could record, and the ability to show their parents what they do at school.
My Take
My overall opinion on this app is that it is easily accessible to anyone with any device and an internet connection. I like how simple it is to use. It has many options of what kind of material you want to share. Students feel like they own their learning and are proud when the see it published on a site or app.
