How I Use It

Our school owns the matching computer game. It's great to use the computer game on a whiteboard to model game play as a whole class before introducing the app. It allows students to learn what the different directions say before they play on their own. When we are ready to introduce the app ,we pair students up (strong reader/weaker reader) so that they are more likely to be able to help each other read the question stem on the tile. This is also an app that we allow students to play during center time.

My Take

I like this app as it allows the students to practice some basic fundamentals on their own. The app moves the students along through game play, without confusing them. This is not necessarily an app that I would leave students to figure out themselves. Some of the directions would need to be read to younger students with poor reading skills. Depending on the age of the students, it would be best to model this app under a document camera or mirrored to a whiteboard first.
