How I Use It
Google Maps is a very useful tool in any classroom. Whether studying Social Studies and looking for locations on a map to science and looking for landforms Google Maps is an easy to use tool for almost any age student. I use it when locating geography locations, landforms (satellite view), and calculating distances to/from locations. Students enjoy seeing real places and being able to interact with them online.
This is an easy to use tool that is free and accessible anywhere as long as there is an internet connection. I have removed every map in my classroom as they are not up to date, but Google Maps is always up to date. It is free, informative, interactive, and easy to use. Students enjoy it!
