How I Use It

I would use this creation app as a lesson for scale factor, perspective and frame of reference for photography. Students were given one shot a making a film with this app and then had to calculate the scale of the image to actual size. Once students estimated a scale factor, students were allowed to re-film to create a more life-like video. My byproducts from using this app is group collaboration, creative thinking and problem solving.

My Take

The students were highly engaged with this app. It did foster some creative thinking in with a story plot. I see this as a writing prompt for video making. There are pre-made high action graphic overlays from the video shot with in the app. It's a nice "just get it and go" app since there isn't a log in or video editing skills required. I gave this a low score on pedagogy however, it's a great app to get your students involved with technology in the classroom in a non-threatening way (i.e. no log in needed, not related to content)

This app is great for adding canned effects while recording video.
