How I Use It
I used this app with ELL students to reinforce the letter sounds and letter patterns in English words. The students really responded to the letter sounds repeating themselves while the student drags the letter around on the screen. They were entertained, and copied the sounds they were hearing (more than what they would without the game/app). There is not a way for students to pick certain words they are having trouble with, but can select one word per alphabet letter.
My Take
Overall, I like the app - more so than my rating indicates. The app is limited in the grand scheme of things, but is excellent for introducing letter sounds. There is an interactive component and students can drag the letter to continue hearing the letter sound. The completed word rewards students with animation that they seem to enjoy as well.
