How I Use It

I use BrainPOP Jr. to introduce new concepts to my students. Before beginning a new lesson, I search BrainPOP Jr. to find appropriate videos to meet the standards I am teaching. BrainPOP Jr. is a great tool to use the first time students see new material. My students watch the video on their iPads individually, and then take the easy and hard quizzes at the end to test their knowledge from the video. My students are then required to show me their quiz scores. BrainPOP Jr. has a scores section that saves all student scores. It becomes a competition to my students to see if they can get all the answers correct. My students get very excited when we watch BrainPOP Jr. movies.

My Take

BrainPOP Jr. is a great tool to use in the classroom. It teaches students in a fun and creative way. After watching the videos, my students refer back to what they learned from them during class discussions. This really shows me how beneficial BrainPOP Jr. is for my students. This app is engaging to all students, no matter their ability level. BrainPOP Jr. is a wonderful teaching tool to use to enhance classroom instruction.
