How I Use It
As a technology integration specialist, I use Book Creator to provide a reference (or takeaway) for my participants. In addition, while presenting, I am also modeling how Book Creator can used to support both synchronous and asynchronous learning styles in both the traditional school setting or a remote learning environment. For example, this summer I was tasked with providing professional development for our district that would prepare our staff for different scenarios once we find out how we are going to start the school year due to the pandemic. One of the ways that I did this is through the creation of a book titled Redesign Your Instruction using the Book Creator App. The book models how teachers can provide instruction to embed opportunities for collaboration and communicate with their students. The staff loved it!
Book Creator is a fantastic tool that supports many different learning populations. With the ability to easily embed videos for instruction, teachers can use Book Creator in the classroom or teaching remotely. Best case scenario, teachers use it in the classroom to provide their students with asynchronous learning and in turn that would free up the teacher to spend more time delivering support to students who may require additional supports or enrichment to students to may require that. My one small critique, and it's very small, I would like more options on the page designs or have the ability to create a custom page design.
