How I Use It
I have used it as an interactive tool that allows learners to learn and complete challenges and tasks in their own time. By creating interactive booklet templates focusing on specific content (eg: the Nile River in a section about Ancient Egypt), and sharing these templates with each child (1:1 iPad program), pupils were able to guide themselves through the learning process. By adding in interactive tasks and external links (Google Earth), the pupils could take a step “outside” of the classroom, explore the world and then be brought back in to complete the tasks at hand. I am really looking forward to when the iPad collaboration feature will be available to use!
My Take
I am really enjoying using Book Creator, setting up a decent lesson idea takes time, but it is time well spent! A grade 5 pupil told me today that he did not want to stop working a task despite the fact that it was break time! That made me feel very proud and excited.
